The purpose of the QB Kids and their Families Team is to support ministry
to children and their families in their communities.
We believe children matter to Jesus. We believe the faith journey of a child can be a valid life transforming experience. We believe the local church must partner with families to nurture the faith of the next generation. We believe that children are a vital part of the QB family.

BOOKS THAT ARE WORTH A LOOK …
Reggie Joiner and Carey Nieuwhof (2010) Parenting beyond your capacity
This book isn’t five steps to raise a godly family, but talks about the values you want to instill in your children! The 5 Family Values… Widen the Circle, Imagine the End, Fight for the Heart, Create a Rhythm and Make It Personal. It is about being a part of a bigger story, God’s story, for you & your family. It is building a legacy. What do you want your kids to become? “What I give to my children or what I do for my children is not as important as what I leave in them” Read and be challenged, inspired and encouraged!
Lucy Moore (2007) Messy Church
Messy Church grew out of one church’s desire to reach out to those on the fringes of the church community and experience the love of Christ through creativity, fellowship and worship together. The book explains the concept and the theology behind it. The book overflows with creative ideas to draw the community together for fun, food, fellowship and worship. Each outline has ideas for creative art and craft activities, meal plans and recipes for eating together and family-friendly worship. [See www.messychurch.org.uk]
Wess Stafford (2007) Too small to ignore: Why children are the next big thing.
This book asserts that children are not the church of the future but the church now. If we are to honour the heart of Jesus we will give children time, attention, resources and respect. Stafford shares from his childhood as a missionary kid.
Paul O’Rourke (2011) Why Satan Hates our kids.
“Australian children are not doing so well . . . record numbers of abortions, children in out-of-home care and reports of abuse and neglect reflect the crisis affecting children of the ‘lucky country’. O’Rourke paints a grim and sobering picture of the crisis affecting Australia’s children in his provocative new book. It is endorsed by church leaders and child advocates. The book lifts the lid on the spiritual and physical attacks on our children, and exhorts the Church to wake up, stand up and act in the best interests of children.
